Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 20 July 2026

This policy explains how subscriptions renew, how to cancel, and when refunds are available. It forms part of the Terms of Service.

1. Free plan and trials

The Free plan is available at no cost within its stated allowances and requires no payment details. Where a trial of a paid plan is offered, we will make its length and terms clear before you start it, and you can cancel before it ends without being charged.

2. Billing and renewal

Paid plans are billed in advance for the chosen period — monthly or annual — and renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. Annual plans are offered at a discount equivalent to two months free. We will notify you in advance of any price increase affecting your renewal.

3. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from the billing section of the app. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your plan remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access to your data until then. We do not charge cancellation fees.

4. Refunds

  • Statutory withdrawal rights — where you are a consumer in the EU or UK you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. If you ask us to start the Service immediately and then withdraw, we may charge for the portion already provided.
  • Annual plans — if you cancel within 14 days of the initial purchase or a renewal, we will refund the unused portion.
  • Monthly plans — fees for the current month are generally non-refundable, since you retain access for the remainder of the period.
  • Service failure — if a material fault prevented you from using the Service for a sustained period, contact us and we will make it right, including a pro-rata credit or refund where appropriate.
  • Unused allowances — quotas such as pages, uploads and API requests reset each billing period and do not carry over or convert to a refund.

5. Upgrades and downgrades

Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged pro-rata for the remainder of the period. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal so you keep what you have paid for; note that data or connected accounts exceeding the lower plan's limits may become read-only until you are back within them.

6. How to request a refund

Email support@bankstmt.com from your account address with your account details and the reason. We aim to respond within 5 business days, and approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
